Hi there! I'm Nic, an illustrator based in the Philippines.
I am currently a University student, juggling art with my academics and student organizations.

I have been creating art ever since I can remember. I first started out with pencil and pen sketches, scribbling and doodling in random pieces of notebook paper. I started to keep a sketchbook in 9th grade and discovered a passion for watercolors.

Traditional art is my forte and I began with watercolor paintings, mainly portraiture. In the summer of 2020, I started dabbling in acrylic painting. I have since made a few acrylic paintings, all of which are posted on my Instagram account.

Shortly after, as I entered college, I was motivated to try my hand at digital art. I started out by exploring the digital medium and creating pieces on my mobile phone, through Autodesk SketchBook. My digitally-illustrated work was primarily made on Autodesk SketchBook and was finished with Photoshop CS6.

Now, I am creating digital artwork primarily with Clip Studio Paint Ex after buying the software program and acquiring a pen tablet (Wacom PTH-451). I am still relatively new to digital art and am still exploring the vast possibilities of my digital art style.

My art style (pencil/pen sketches, watercolor paintings, digital art) is heavily inspired by anime and manga styles. With acrylic painting and some of my digital artwork, I tend to create them with a semi-realistic touch. With digital art, I have been experimenting a lot, especially with my earlier work, but right now, I more or less am coming up with a style that I like and that I am more comfortable with!
